It’s always fun to look back on such a great year as the 2011 was for me and my dogs. The qualification into national team on AWC and EO, 5. place in EO, 4. place in national championship and 4. place in cup championship. This are the main achievements me and Veni had last year (with some bad luck on the AWC). She was just perfect.
And here is our last run in 2011:
Little AC began to compete in august. And in December we made our last exam for A2.
And since I think that the dog has to do as much thing as possible, we went to BBH class in spring and to RO class in fall. Here is our latest video of our obedience:
We also atended 2 frisbee competitons: Easter competition in Ptuj (AC was second in Minidistance Novice) and Ashley Whippet in Maribor (Veni was second in Time Trial and in Dogdartbee).
So yes, 2011 was a great year. And I hope 2012 will be even better.

My queen… My smileyface… My Once in a Lifetime!
Happy Birthday sweet, sweet Veni!
So the big day finally came. Little miss AC’s first agility competition. And I think we did pretty well. The only thing we have to improve are the weave poles. Here are the videos:

Can’t wait for the next competition!!!!
The EO 2011 was taken place in Bad Hall, Austria. The organization started OK. Two courses for practice on friday, nice place for competing, no problems with registration… On Friday we started with the practice. Veni did great. Fast contacts, great turns, fast runs, the bars stayed up,… On Saturday we started with individual agility. She had pretty fast A-frame (for Veni), but almost a refusal and a slow dogwalk. But clean run anyway. So it was not a surpise that the time was not that great.
So the jumping was the next chance to come to the finals. And Veni is really fast in jumping, so I knew that that was our chance. But again I made a mistake and she almost entered the wrong tunnel. But I managed to call her off and we had a clean run and 11. place.
So we were in the finals.
But I was worried about Veni’s slow A-frame (we were placed on 74. place after the individual agility). And since she does not remember the running contacts from the last year, I didn’t know how to speed her up. And then I had remembered that we sometimes “trained” that she runs between my legs after the A-frame. The course was just the right one for that. So I decided to risk it. And we had a nice run and a fast A-frame. And 5. place in the end. I think great result, considering that we ran in heavy rain, bad lights and at 10:30PM…
We had some great results from the finals. In small Daša Zakotnik&Katka were 6., in medium Polona Bonač&Šja were 2. and Zoltan Pap&Pilko were 10. Congrats to all!
On Sunday we started in Team jumping. We went second from our team and I got disqualified (the only run that was not clean in the championship). Our team had only one clean run from the jumping.
The last run was the Team agility. Another clean run for me and Veni (but again a small mistake). But pretty fast contacts.
After the team runs team finals started. It’s was something new on the competition – a relay race. I didn’t like that idea at first. And then I saw the course – and I liked it even less. But it was fun to watch (I quess I would not think the same if I had to run it). The small/medium team started. Slovenia had one team in the finals. At first we only saw disqualifications. But then some runs with mistakes. Then the Slovenian team ran. Clean run!!! And only the team from Finland was faster at the end. So second place for Silvia Trkman&La, Polona Bonač&Šja, Daša Zakotnik&Katka and Zoltan Pap&Pilko. Congrats guys!!!
The EO 2012 will take place in Sweden. It’s a little far, but we will try to go.
I would like to thank the photographers (Iztok Noč, Maja Rokavec, Blayo San, Tanja Gril,…) for taking such beautiful pictures of me and Veni.

The competition in Kd Agility Ilirija was the last for the AWC 2011. Veni and I were placed on 3. place in EO qualifications and 2. place in qualifications for Agility World Championship 2011! So we are going to Bad Hall and Liévin!!!
In between all of the agility competition we found the time to go to frisbee competition (Ashley Whippet International). I entered Veni and AC for Toss&Catch, Dogdartbee and Time Trial. And they were perfect. Veni was 5. in Toss&Catch, 2. in Dogdartbee and 2. in Time Trial.
AC had some bad luck catching frisbees in Toss&Catch. But she did well in Time Trial (6. place) and Dogdartbee, where we made it to semifinals.
